Cloud Com­put­ing? Big Data? Vir­tu­al­isa­tion? No problem!

As a specialised recruitment agency in Information Technology it is essential that the Coopers Recruiters have a broad IT knowledge. We need to be able have a good overview of today's IT industry, so that we can recognise our client's needs. Also we need to have a good knowledge of IT, so that we can ask more detailed questions at our job interviews.

This is why we decided to conduct a so-called IT 360 Training once a year for all our recruiters. The last training was run by Tobias Müller, MSc in Computer Science, Chief Architect and CEO of progile AG.

What does the modern IT world look like?

In the past the IT industry has become increasingly complex and diverse. To such an extent that it often seems unmanageable. Trend words such as cloud computing, big data and virtualisation are now part of the modern IT world. We learnt about how challenging it is to manage all the new tools and how new programming languages are sprouting left right and centre.

It was really interesting for us to learn more about the history of IT and increase our knowledge of hardware and operating systems. We also talked a lot about data processing. We learnt about new programming languages, frameworks and agile movements such as scrum. Our trainer also touched on terms such as unified communication and virtualisation.
The training was a great success, we are confident that all our recruiters are now up to date with modern technologies. We can't wait for the next session, thanks Tobias!
