Cloud? Inter­net of Things? Scrum? No Problem!

As a specialised recruitment agency in Information Technology, it is essential that the Coopers Recruiters have a broad IT knowledge. We need to have a good overview of today's IT industry so that we can recognize our client's needs. Also, we need to have a good knowledge of IT, so that we can ask more detailed questions at our job interviews. This is why every year the whole team takes part in a two-day training course. Last week the course took place in Basel.

Our trainer Tobias Müller has an MSc in Computer Science and is CEO of progile AG. He has successfully worked with small teams on IT projects in the whole of Switzerland. He works as an IT Architect and Project Manager for an international company.

Our Recruitment Executive Alexander Braunagel enjoyed the course: "The two days were intense because we discussed many IT topics in a short amount of time. I thought it was interesting to find out more about the history of Cloud Computing and receive detailed information about different programming languages. We know that nowadays most developers have experience with testing, during the course however we learned more about this area of work. For example, good testers know all about validation and verification. Scrum is still a big topic, however, sometimes it is tricky when it comes to turning theory into practice. I appreciated that we had the opportunity to ask questions that weren't in the course book, for example: What is Darknet? How do Trojan Viruses work? How does one make Internet connections secure? The course material was nicely presented and I will certainly refer to it in future."
