Wel­come at Coopers – Elena Jansky

We are very pleased to welcome Elena Jansky to the Coopers team - welcome!

Elena Jansky works as a Talent Acquisition Consultant at Coopers Group AG and supports the consulting team in the recruitment of specialists and executives.

Before joining Coopers, Elena worked for a recruitment agency in Bern in the IT Public Team.

5 Questions for Elena

To learn a little more about herself, we asked Elena to choose five questions from a list of questions and answer them. Let's go:

1) Which app or newsletter do you read regularly?
Reading is less applicable in this case, but one of my most used apps is definitely Google Maps, because I have the sense of direction of a mole and often can't even find paths I've taken several times.

2) Is there a funny anecdote from your studies/training/school days?
I once took a Java course for beginners at university, which I dropped out of after a very short time because I didn't even begin to understand how to write the simplest programs and always just copied from the person sitting next to me. At that time I would have denied ever again to have anything to do with IT.

3) Dog or cat?
Definitely dogs, cats are too unpredictable for me. One second they let you pet them and the next they scratch you ????.
I have a 2 year old American Staffordshire bitch myself, who I wouldn't give away for anything in the world.

4) Which country would you definitely like to travel to one day?
On top of my bucket list are currently South Africa, especially Cape Town, Indonesia and Vietnam. But basically I'm easy to please, as long as it's to the sea.

5) What was the best decision you made in your professional career?
In retrospect, I have often decided against the steps that you would say would have looked good on your resume, and I'm glad I listened to my gut on each one.
I admire people who have followed a straightforward career path and always knew where they were going, but in my case it was the little detours that I learned the most from.
