Wel­come at Coopers — René

We are pleased to welcome René Känzig back to the Coopers team.

René worked successfully for Coopers from 2014 until the end of 2018 and was significantly involved in the development and establishment of Coopers IT Services AG. He will now support the Coopers team in Bern as consultant and business development manager. We are very much looking forward to working with him again.
René Känzig brings with him over 30 years of experience as a consultant and key account manager with various well-known ICT companies as well as within the public administration and is very well networked in the Bern area.

To find out a little more about him, we asked René to choose five questions from a list of questions and answer them. Let's go:

Who is your role model?

I have and never had role models. Having role models always carries the danger of copying someone, and that definitely goes wrong.
But there are always people who impress and inspire me.

What was the best career advice you once got?

It was at the beginning of my sales career, when a sales manager gave me the following advice; you have two ears and one mouth, so in a customer conversation listen 2/3 of the time and use 1/3 of the time to say something or ask the right questions.
By the way, this recommendation works everywhere, not only in sales.

Do you play a musical instrument? If so, which one?

No, unfortunately not. I am probably the least musical person in the western hemisphere.

What three things would you take with you to a desert island and why?

Tobacco pipes, whisky and a guitar (on a desert island, my lack of musicianship doesn't get on anyone's nerves).

Which country would you definitely like to visit?

Heidiland... I already drove past it once
