Wel­come at Coopers – Serkan Güzel 

Today we get to introduce another new team member on the blog – welcome at Coopers, Serkan Güzel!

Serkan started working at the Coopers Basel office in August. He already has several years of experience in recruiting, which is why he joined us as a Senior Consultant. His focus is on the recruitment of specialists within Finance, Administration as well as HR for permanent positions. Serkan holds a Bachelor of Arts in History and Media Studies from the University of Basel.

5 Questions for Serkan

To get to know him a little better, we asked Serkan to select and answer five questions from a list of questions. Here we go:

1) How does your perfect Sunday look like?
On a perfect Sunday I would have brunch with my girlfriend and then start the day relaxed. Leisure activities such as hiking, sightseeing, etc. are also part of it.

2) What could you not live without?
I am passionate about weightlifting and go to the gym at least 4 to 5 times a week. I don't like missing out on that as it is a consistent element of my everyday life. It is my work-life balance and I use this time to maintain my physical and mental health.

3) Which country do you absolutely want to travel to one day?
I have heard so many positive things about Japan and I am convinced that I would like this country very much. Be it because of the culture, the sights, or the healthy food.

4) What would you do if you won the lottery?
Most likely plan a long trip and possibly buy a holiday home near the beach.

5) What was the best career advice you ever got?
To always be on top of things and to learn from mistakes. This allowed me to constantly develop and improve myself, both professionally and personally.
