Right from the moment we arrived at the hotel, you could feel it: the unmistakable Coopers Spirit. Sunshine, stunning Alpine mountain views, and a team buzzing with energy and good vibes.

We started off with a bang, quite literally, with confetti cannons. And we had plenty to celebrate: four anniversaries adding up to 30 years at Coopers and, fittingly, a 30th birthday. After a business update and lunch together, we jumped into a World Café workshop. The creativity was flowing, the discussions were lively, and we came away with plenty of fresh ideas we are excited to put into action.

Another highlight was the keynote from Philipp Kaufmann. With his background as a sports manager and Head of Recruitment, now at VfL Osnabrück and previously many years at FC Basel, he offered a fascinating outside perspective on recruiting. Hearing insights from the world of football gave us plenty of food for thought and new impulses for our daily work. You will soon find his full interview here on the Coopers Blog.

What truly made the event special were the moments in between. They are not small. And certainly not insignificant. Those are the conversations that go deeper than work, the chance to connect as people first. Those are the moments that build bonds and make them stronger.

By Friday morning, the strength of these connections truly showed. Even after a fun evening (with some legendary karaoke performances), we still gave it our all at the Swiss Alpine Games*, determined to compete and win as a team. Chuämälchä, Naglä, Gloggi lütä, Heupüntel wärfä or Hufisä schiessä, it was a mix of skill, teamwork, and a bit of luck. It came down to the wire, but in the end Team 1 took the win – congratulations!

We wrapped up with a group lunch on the beautiful Engstligenalp before heading home. After, we left Adelboden not only with memories of two unforgettable days, but with a stronger sense of togetherness – our Coopers Spirit.

Building a family.
Not just a company.

P.S. Maybe you miss a note at karaoke, but with people you strike the right chord? Sounds like you would fit right in with us. Check out our internal openings here.

*Among other things, we had to:
Chuämälchä = milk a (fake) cow
Naglä = hammer nails into a tree trunk
Gloggi lütä = ring cowbells with a ball
Heupüntel wärfä = throw hay bales
Hufisä schiessä = throw horseshoes at a metal rod
