With the ongoing Corona pandemic, the pharmaceutical industry is in a global spotlight. Many have put their hopes on a successful vaccination to end the pandemic and let us return to the normal life we were used to. So far, the industry didn't disappoint - vaccines have been developed and marketed faster than ever before; in addition, the WHO lists another 235 vaccination projects – with Switzerland playing an important role as a business location, too.
Corona recruits life sciences experts
The Basel area, among others, is recognized as an important life sciences hub of international importance because it offers the highest concentration of life sciences jobs worldwide. International giants are headquartered here, as well as numerous small- and medium-sized companies.
