Olivier Rihs, experienced digital entrepreneur and member of our Board of Directors, in conversation about values, company culture, and his decision to join Coopers.
Coopers: How did you first hear about Coopers?
Olivier Rihs (OR): I came across Coopers Group on jobs.ch, they were looking for a board member. Within a few minutes on their website, it was clear: this is an owner-managed company where people genuinely come first. Those are values that matter deeply to me. I could easily imagine bringing my experience to bear here and supporting the company's continued growth.
What convinced you to join the Coopers Board of Directors?
OR: The energy, the sense of belonging, the Coopers Family. These are not just words on a website; they are values that are actually lived. At the end of the day, it is always about people. And people in the right place, at the right moment, can move mountains. What Denise and Christian have built is fantastic. There is nothing else like it in Switzerland. This is a one-of-a-kind story.
Is there a motto or attitude that has guided you throughout your professional life? Switzerland is good at adapting quickly. Tough on the issue, fair to the person. And being fair means allowing for mistakes. You should not make the same mistake twice, but without mistakes, there is no learning. You have to have the courage to try things. If they work: great. If not: lesson learned.
