One Day as Recruiter – National Future Day at Coopers
From CVs to candy jars: a hands-on look into the world of recruiting

What does everyday life in a recruiting agency actually look like?
Four curious kids set out to discover exactly that during this year’s National Future Day and spent a full working day at Coopers. National Future Day has an important goal: to help children discover careers that do not conform to traditional gender roles. This change of perspective opens up new possibilities and shows how diverse career paths can be.
The young guests kicked off their day full of energy and curiosity. After a short introduction by Denise Stuker, who explained what Coopers does and how diverse the world of recruiting can be, they dove straight into their first tasks.
They started with something usually reserved for adults: creating their own résumé. With support from the Coopers team, they selected a template, entered their information and even had their portrait taken by Jasmin in a mini professional photo shoot to complete their new CV.
Next up: hands-on work and something sweet. While filling jars with candy and preparing gift boxes, they were motivated to do their tasks. The kids quickly agreed: “Irina has the best job in the whole company as she gets to buy candy all the time!”
A Look Behind the Scences
There was also plenty to discover behind the scenes of recruiting. The kids joined real Teams calls and got a glimpse into how we collaborate with candidates and companies. A big highlight was our monthly Town Hall meeting, where the entire Coopers team comes together, this time virtually.
After so many new impressions, the day continued with a creative twist: in a short PowerPoint session, the kids created their own presentation titled “Me in 10 Years.” Not only did some wonderful future visions emerge, one of our young guests already knows exactly what he wants to become one day: a chef.
After all these new impressions, a small foosball tournament was a fun way to wrap up the day.
By the end of the day, it was clear how much curiosity and openness shape the Coopers spirit. National Future Day also showed how interesting recruiting is, even for the youngest. And who knows, maybe it sparked an interest in a future recruiter.

National Future Day encourages children to explore professions that don’t follow traditional gender roles. The goal is to broaden their horizons and show them that all career paths are open to them.
Girls and boys are encouraged to try out jobs that are typically dominated by the other gender. This helps them see that their future career choices shouldn’t be limited by stereotypes.
At Coopers, children get a look into the world of recruiting and the different tasks our team works on. They might create application documents, support small projects, join meetings, or ask questions about our work. The aim is to show how diverse and people-focused recruiting can be.
