Are you an experienced Automation Engineer with strong hands-on expertise in Emerson DeltaV? For a long-term CAPEX project in a highly regulated production environment, we are looking for a technically strong professional who can support automation engineering, system integration, commissioning and qualification activities.

This position is ideal for someone who combines practical DeltaV configuration experience with a solid understanding of GMP, GxP documentation and multidisciplinary project execution.

The Assignment

Start date: 5 October 2026
Duration: 12 months, with the possibility of extension
Workload: 100%, 41 hours per week
Location: Visp, Switzerland
Remote work: Not available, 100% on site
Work model: Temporary employment / contracting
Working hours: Day work, no shift work

Your Responsibilities

Design and implement Emerson DeltaV automation solutions for CAPEX projects
Configure control strategies, system interfaces, graphics, alarms and process automation applications within the DeltaV environment
Prepare and maintain GxP-compliant engineering and validation documentation according to applicable standards
Support the integration of DeltaV systems with process equipment, PLCs, utility systems, MES and other plant systems
Execute and document testing, commissioning, qualification and startup activities, including FAT, SAT and IQ/OQ
Troubleshoot and resolve automation, communication and control system issues throughout the project lifecycle
Ensure compliance with GMP, data integrity, change management and validation requirements
Collaborate closely with Engineering, Operations, Validation, Quality and Project stakeholders to achieve successful project outcomes

Your Profile

Degree in Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline
Hands-on experience with Emerson DeltaV system engineering and configuration
Practical experience configuring control strategies, graphics, alarms or system interfaces
Experience preparing and maintaining GxP-compliant engineering or validation documentation
Good understanding of commissioning, qualification and validation processes
Previous experience working in CAPEX project environments
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities
Professional German language skills are required
English language skills are an advantage
Willingness and ability to work 100% on site in Visp
