Head Warehouse & Logistics

For our Pharma client in the Aargau Kanton, we are looking for a Head of Warehouse and Logistics
In this role you will be responsible for the full scope of warehousing (including 3PL), material and inventory management, inbound/inhouse/outbound logistics (including cold chain), delegated sampling (incl. open material handling) and leadership according to GMP Standards for existing and new buildings.
Additionally you will be accountable for logistics operations at site and for achieving a Swiss Medic License for Logistics processes, equipment’s, rooms and systems.
Your main responsibilities:
- Supervise the EWM IT project for the local Site as business project leader.
- Represent the warehouse facility during regulatory inspections and customer audits, and actively participates in customer visits and presentations.
- Oversee all warehousing and material management activities, including receiving, issuing, storage, handling (disposition, consumption, and process order bookings), allocation of direct materials to support manufacturing, and material scrapping.
- Drive the optimization of warehouse processes to ensure compliant storage, transportation, and distribution, with a focus on time and cost efficiency.
- Ensure effective communication between management, stakeholders and Global Engineering / CAPEX team.
- Represents Operations in investment projects
- Responsible for operative takeover of the warehouse (after operational qualification), drive swiss medic readiness preparation and represent operations with SME’s during the audit.
- Accountable for preparation of risk analysis (SHE, GMP) and all relevant procedures (SOP’s) and ensuring training of staff. o Supports the Site Supply Chain Head in developing, prioritizing and achieving goals with respect to the project and overall DPS (Drug Product Services) goals
What you need to bring:
- Leadership skills for small teams (direct reports only)
- GxP / Pharma background in a manufacturing site
- SAP knowledge
- Fluent German (for Operators) and English (for Documents, QA Compliance, Projects etc.)
