Sensor Development Engineer

Dive into the world of cutting-edge sensor development where you'll collaborate with a expert team to design, test, and optimize electrochemical and optical sensors used in life-saving medical devices. Your responsibilities:

  • Collaborating with technical experts in the development and enhancement of sensors for blood gas analysis.
  • Contributing to sensor design investigations by planning and conducting various material and sensor characterization experiments and tests.
  • Providing scientific expertise to the development know-how and gaining a deep understanding of complex electrochemical and optical sensors and processes, including their characterization and optimization.
  • Managing assigned work packages, planning and executing experiments, and preparing detailed analyses and documentation.
  • Utilizing various analytical methods and tools for sensor and material analysis, as well as data analysis software to compile technical reports.

 

Your background:

  • Degree in Engineering/Science (e.g., Master's degree from a Technical University), ideally in Chemistry, Material Science, Physical Chemistry, or a related field
  • 1-3 years experience in a chemical laboratory environment
  • Proven experience with comprehensive material characterization utilizing a variety of techniques, including structural, spectroscopic, and physical property analysis (SEM, profilometry, chemical analysis, microscopy, etc.). This includes planning and conducting experiments, performing data analysis, and technical reporting
  • Structured and independent approach to conducting experiments and documenting results
  • Detail-oriented, adaptable, and a collaborative team player who enjoys hands-on laboratory work
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English (German is a plus)
