At Coopers, we love recruiting: matching candidate, job and company.
We feel incredibly honored that people put their career into our hands and that we have such a meaningful impact on someone's life.
"Choose a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life," Confucius once said. And this is our credo, too.
Yet, a work-life-balance – which is considered extremely important in today's world – can only succeed, if people not just love their job, but also their life-part. And if there is one thing, that we have learned over the many years in recruiting, it is this: Life is all about love.
People decline the perfect job offer – if it involves moving and their loved one does not or cannot come along.
People quit the job they love – if their loved one must relocate, just so they can stay together.
People accept a random job – if it lets them be with the one they love.
We talk to a lot of people, and unfortunately, we came to realize that many are still looking for their soulmate. The topic comes up all the time. So, we sat down, and asked ourselves: Why do we only match people and jobs, if we have a database full of brilliant, kind, and like-minded people? Why not singles?
Putting people first is one of our essential core values. And if we put people first, we also have to put love first. In the end, there was only one logical conclusion: Coopers Love.
Coopers Love – The new Coopers Business Unit
This is how it works: Everyone who is either employed with Coopers or registered in our database will get the possibility to tick a box that says "open for match". Those will be directed to a platform, where they can get in touch.
Denise Stuker, Operations Director, on this: "Coopers Love hits the mark, or rather, the heart. Our job is a people's business and people pursue love. So, we want to support them in every way we can. What if the perfect match is right before our eyes? One simple click away. We do not want to miss that chance."
Christian Biedermann, Managing Director, adds: "We are currently working with our web agency Suxesiv on a Coopers Love app, that makes everything more user friendly. In the app, users can select interests, set filters like industry, region and so on. If people embrace this new service as much as we hope they will, we might open it to interested non-employees. But that is just up in the air. We'll see how it goes and then take it from there."
