Coopers x Talentor
Networking and Fitness at the Talentor International Summit 2023 in Amsterdam

from Dr. Elena D’Cruz
02. October 2023

Two weeks ago, several of the Coopers team attended the Talentor International Summit in Amsterdam. Our baltic partner shared a LinkedIn post about it, from which the following part stuck particularly: We took a moment to ask, how are you, how is your business and the economy in your country, how are your kids?
This perfectly captures the unique nature of the Summit: although it is a business event, the focus is on people, on building and strengthening meaningful, personal relationships with each other. It creates bonds and trust.
Why Talentor International?
For everyone who is not familiar with Talentor International: Talentor is a global network of recruiting agencies and one of the world’s top 40 executive search organizations. More than 30 countries from four continents are currently represented by an independent, local agency – Coopers exclusively represents Switzerland.
The partnership comes with various benefits:
- We, Coopers, can support international recruiting projects of our clients.
- We, Coopers, can offer our local recruiting expertise to our Talentor partners and their clients.
- We, as a large network, can leverage synergies that in turn equip our Coopers team with state-of-the-art solutions in the daily business (think online tools, IT solutions et cetera).
- We learn from and with each other in regular calls, practice groups, partner meetings and the annual summit.
- We can share business opportunities and help each other thrive. We want our partners to succeed. As our Dutch partner said upon winning the Cooperation Award: doing international business is in our blood.
Talentor Internationaler Summit 2023 in Amsterdam
For all of that, in the end of August more than 100 people from across the globe gathered in Amsterdam for the yearly summit. The event is particularly special because not only managing partners join but employees across departments with all kinds of internal positions, from consultants and talent acquisition professionals, marketeers, HR managers to other roles. Everyone getting to know each other is crucial to tighten the network and in turn to succeed internationally.
The two days were structured and included two separate lines: one covering the needs of recruiters who have a candidate-focus and the second line addressed strategic and managerial topics. Some presentations were in front of the whole group, like the one from our HR Manager Monica who talked about the feedback culture here at Coopers.
A detailed description of the two-day-agenda can be found on the Talentor International blog.
One of the best sessions was a surprise on Friday morning: personal trainer Rodeney welcomed us and got our blood flowing. He usually does that on Friday morning at our Dutch partner’s office, Independent Recruiters – how cool is that! So, after a night of eating, celebrating, and dancing on Thursday, some movement was the perfect energizer (at least for many).

Launch: Talentor Leaders4Tomorrow Programm
The Talentor Summit was the perfect time to kick off the Talentor Leaders 4 Tomorrow Programms. The program is designed for more junior talents aiming to take over a leadership role in the future. Currently, members from the Netherlands, Latvia, Austria, and Ukraine are participating – as well as our dear Swiss Coopers Jessica, Nevin, and Herolinda. They all work on individual projects which we will happily present in more detail here on the Coopers Blog in a while.
As with all good things, they (unfortunately) come to an end. It took a moment to say all our good-byes, sharing kind words and hugs upon departing.
The experience in Amsterdam and the connections made leave us with a lot of anticipation of next year’s Talentor Summit for which we get to travel East bound – so stay tuned.

New roles are emerging. Reskilling is the key to preparing people and companies for the future. Why now is the time to rethink and how Coopers recognizes potential before it is visible on CVs.
