For our client operating in the Diagnostics industry, we are looking for a Trade Compliance Specialist

Tasks & Responsibilities:

  • Compliance Leadership: Ensure export control compliance at the site in close collaboration with the Local Export Control Officer (LECO).
  • IMCP Management: Take ownership of developing, monitoring, and refining the Internal Management &
  • Compliance Program (IMCP).
  •  Product Classification: Actively support the classification of goods and conduct sanctions list, embargo, and dual-use checks (including releasing blocks) within SAP GTS.
  • License Management: Handle end-to-end license management, including the application and administration of licenses with the State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO).
  •  Process Optimization & Training: Define, implement, and continuously improve foreign trade processes and lead internal training sessions to foster a culture of compliance.
  •  Consulting & Projects: Act as a subject matter expert for internal departments and represent export control interests in both local and global projects.
  •  Regulatory Monitoring: Stay ahead of changing regulations and ensure seamless implementation during operational audits and interactions with authorities.

 

Must Haves:

 

  •  Completed commercial education with several years of professional experience in Import, Export or Trade
  •  Experience in an international industrial environment
  •  Solid knowledge of Swiss, European and international export control regulations
  •  Independent, analytical and results-oriented working style with strong communication skills and team- oriented mindset
  •  Advanced German and English language skills

 

Nice to Haves:

  • Technical Skills: Advanced user knowledge of SAP GTS and MS Office
  •  US Regulations: Familiarity with US Export Control regulations (EAR) is an advantage
