Coopers Life Sciences Circle 2025
Keynotes on Quality & Relaxed Networking
from Dr. Elena D’Cruz
17. October 2025
The First Coopers Life Sciences Circle
When we welcomed our guests to the Orangerie Basel, the mission was as simple as clear: to bring people from the life sciences community together for personal exchange, without big stages, but with honest conversations and genuine curiosity. And judging by the vibrant energy in the room, that mission was accomplished.
Two Perspectives, One Common Thread: Quality
Our two speakers, Matthias Henz and Christian Seutin, opened the evening with thought-provoking insights from their daily practice.
Matthias spoke about the evolving role of Quality Assurance in a world increasingly shaped by AI and how quality remains the anchor that keeps innovation trustworthy.
Christian brought a practical perspective from project delivery and operations, illustrating how the life sciences industry is evolving – with investment projects and operations growing closer together, leadership talent in high demand, and agility becoming a key success factor.
Looking Back…
Overall, the Coopers Life Sciences Circle was rated 4.5 out of 5, with both the location (4.4) and organization (4.4) receiving strong marks. Participants especially appreciated the relaxed yet focused atmosphere and the chance to exchange ideas with peers they had not met before.
The networking activity was received with curiosity and good energy. According to the survey, 83% of participants made new contacts. Several respondents also shared ideas and topics for future Circles, such as AI in pharma, agility in regulated environments, clinical drug development, and collaboration between academia and industry.
Another encouraging result: more than 90% of respondents would attend another Life Sciences Circle, and almost half could imagine taking the stage themselves. That kind of engagement is the best feedback we could ask for.
We have captured some moments from the evening in the photo gallery below, enjoy browsing.
… and Ahead
The first Coopers Life Sciences Circle showed that there is real added value in creating room for exchange outside the usual conference formats. Based on the positive feedback, we want to make the Life Sciences Circle a recurring event and are already working on the next edition.
Save the date: Spring 2026

Until then: Many thanks to everyone who joined, shared, and made the evening as special as it was. Thanks to our catering partners Etna Pasticceria and Vinaiolo as well as to our team, especially the Life Sciences team that gathered so many interesting people and to all the helping hands from our Marketing department.
Until next time!
