For an innovative MedTech project in the diagnostics environment, we are looking for an experienced Systems Engineer / Workflow Development Engineer (m/f/d). In this role, you will contribute to the development and optimization of next-generation analyzer systems, combining systems engineering, fluidics, experimental design, and Python-based data analysis within a multidisciplinary R&D team.
  • Start Date: 01.08.2026
  • Latest Start Date: 01.09.2026
  • Duration: Until end of 2027
  • Workload: 100%
  • Location: Rotkreuz, Switzerland
  • Home Office: Possible depending on project requirements
  • Work Model: Contracting

 

Your Tasks:

  • Develop and optimize fluid control workflows of our new analyzer.

  • Investigate technical issues around the control of blood and calibration fluids and propose design improvements.

  • Create data analysis tools for analyzing how well the new system performs.

  • Design experiments to assess specific system performance aspects.

  • Get the prototype analyzers working in our blood labs.

 

Your Profile:

  • A MSc degree in the field of Engineering (Mechatronics, Electronics,Mechanics, Fluidics, etc.)
  • Min. 3 years of experience in the industry or in research, or proven experience on workflow development of blood gas analyzers

  • Good at grasping complex system interactions 

  • Experienced in Python programming and analysis of complex data (required). Experience with C++ or is an advantage 

  • Experience with systems engineering 

  • Great at creating structured documentation and written investigation reports

  • Persistent in finding root causes of technical issues and driven to fix them together with the team of engineers and scientists.

  • Self-reliant and a great networker in order to gain support for your own work

  • Fluency in English (written and spoken)
