For our client in Basel-Landschaft, we are looking for an experienced and motivated Application Developer - Java/PHP.

This role involves developing and maintaining critical applications, ensuring seamless integration across systems, and supporting operational excellence.

Your Tasks:

Design, develop, and maintain applications using Java and PHP
Create and optimize SQL queries and database structures for high-performance systems
Develop and manage APIs for internal and external integrations
Administer and troubleshoot Linux-based environments
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust IT solutions
Provide on-call support during agreed evenings and weekends to ensure system availability
Participate in code reviews, testing, and documentation processes

Your Profile:

Proven experience in Java and PHP development
Strong knowledge of advanced SQL and relational database design
Hands-on experience with API development and integration
Proficiency in Linux OS administration
Proficiency in DevOps & efficient pipeline management is a plus
Familiarity with cloud platforms and containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
Willingness to provide on-call support during evenings/weekends as per schedule
Fluent in English, German and French is a plus
