For Roche in Basel, we are looking for an experienced Principal / Global Project Manager to lead complex projects within device development, combination products, design control, technical development and commercialization. The role requires strong project management expertise in a regulated environment, excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to work independently across global teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage complex projects across development, lifecycle, post-approval, technology and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Translate device strategy into actionable project plans together with Technical Development and Device Team Leads
  • Drive project execution, timelines, deliverables, risks, issues and design control activities
  • Develop and maintain Design & Development Plans and ensure inspection readiness
  • Facilitate team meetings, decision-making, stakeholder communication and governance reviews
  • Manage project scope, resources, costs, documentation and lessons learned
  • Collaborate with internal teams, external partners and vendors across global time zones
  • Support continuous improvement of project management tools, processes and best practices

Must Haves:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field
  • 8 to 11 years of professional experience, including at least 5 years in medtech, pharma or biopharma
  • Strong project management experience in drug and/or medical device development and commercialization
  • Experience with combination products
  • Knowledge of 21CFR820.30 design control requirements
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Project, Smartsheet and Google Suite
  • Experience working with vendors and external partners
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to manage complex projects independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Fluent English

Nice to Haves:

  • PMP certification
  • German, Japanese or Danish language skills
