Stability Coordinator/Sample Management Specialist

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Sample Management Specialist to support stability studies within a GMP-regulated laboratory environment. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating sample handling activities, maintaining accurate documentation, and ensuring smooth collaboration across multiple departments to support laboratory operations and compliance standards.

 

Location: Basel

Contract start date: Immediately

Contract end date: 31/05/2027

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform all pull activities related to stability studies, including sample retrieval, labeling, and documentation
  • Receive and log samples into the LIMS (Laboratory Information Management System)
  • Coordinate closely with cross-functional departments to ensure efficient sample flow and storage management
  • Execute staging activities such as packaging, labeling, and documentation preparation
  • Maintain and update data accurately in the LES (Laboratory Execution System)
  • Organize and manage storage of stability study boxes within stability chambers
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to sample management processes
  • Ensure compliance with laboratory safety procedures, health protection guidelines, cGMP regulations, and internal quality standards
  • Perform additional duties and support activities as assigned

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Degree in Biotechnology, Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related scientific field, or equivalent hands-on training as an analytical laboratory technician
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in the pharmaceutical or chemical industry, preferably within sample management or laboratory operations
  • Working knowledge of pharmaceutical industry practices and GMP environments
  • Experience with LIMS and/or LES systems is preferred
  • Strong organizational and planning abilities with excellent attention to detail
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills in English; German language skills are an advantage
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate across teams
  • Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team environment
  • Enthusiastic, adaptable, and open-minded approach to work
  • Willingness to learn new processes and take on complex tasks
  • Proactive mindset with a continuous improvement focus
