Legal Assistant

m/f/d, Basel-Stadt

For our client, a international pharma company, based in Basel, we are currently looking for an experienced Legal Assistant (m/f/d) identifying legal, financial and business contract issues in german and english. Besides from legal research, you will be responding to contract requests; client counseling on contract issues and company policies based on your swiss legal experience.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Legal support to contracts – 3rd party and intercompany agreements for the companies Swiss Entities, including drafting, reviewing, proof-reading as may be required
  • Support on various legal documents such as e.g. CDAs, PoAs, UBO, confirmations and authorizations, certificates, protocols
  • Maintains respective documentation including proper organization of files
  • Dealing and reliable handling of notarization process
  • Proof reading of legal documents
  • Support and execution of special projects
  • Manages the document flow with involved stakeholders and arrange for signature of documents; ensures contract lifecycle management and maintains the contract database inc. physical & digital archiving system
  • Supports optimization of current processes and/or introduction of new or modified processes
  • Maintains the overview of timelines and deliverables in all assigned projects
  • Acts as a team member for legal projects
  • Informs, communicates, advises and supports the team and associates from outside the team on processes, guidelines and services that are specific to the department

 

Your Profile:

  • Paralegal Certificate or Commercial training (e.g. Swiss Association of Commercial Employees, business school) or equivalent (e.g. Swiss Matura plus business experience or Bachelor (preference Legal)
  • Basic legal training. (Paralegal course or acquired on the job)
  • Excellent in English and German (Knowledge of other languages advantageous)
  • Familiar with swiss legal terminology
  • Excellent communication (focus on what matters, adjusts the form of communication depending on the stakeholders)
  • Great organizational skills (organize own work, activities, and tasks as well as activities within the department / team in an effective, transparent, and professional manner)
  • Pro-active and curious personalitly that seeks to improve things
  • Reliable and loyal team-player
