For our client from the chemical sector in the Aargau Canton, we are looking for a Packaging Engineer with experience in Managing Packaging projects

Your Tasks:

  • Act as a key interface between Packaging Development and its stakeholders, potentially involving SPS, Biologicals, F&P, testing activities
  • Translates design briefs into innovative, cost-effective and compliant solutions leveraging material knowledge and manufacturing technologies.
  • Generates innovative packaging ideas with customer focus, evaluates opportunities and challenges, develops pilots to test new concepts in low-risk settings, and seeks inspiration from other industries.
  • Ensures packaging complies with regional legislation and meets legal requirements for transporting dangerous goods.
  • Ensures that all operations under direct control comply with Syngenta Health, Safety & Environment policies (CHMU-SID-0122, CHMU-SID-0282) and conform to Syngenta legal standard.
  • Acts as a role model in the area of responsibility.
  • Contributes to collaboration and interaction with other PT&E groups (Analytical, Application, Formulation Development, Formulation Engineering) and Logistics to support delivering the best product experience for customers.
  • Engages with external collaborators, including universities and suppliers, to support the application of science and technology.
  • Begins contributing to solving business challenges with guidance.

 

Your Profile:

  • Understanding of packaging development processes and knowledge relevant to the role across the industry, (ideally with 1–2 years of experience)
  • Degree (BSc, MSc, Diploma) in Packaging Engineering or equivalent professional qualification and/or relevant experience.
  • You have successfully led packaging development projects.
  • Experience in applying cross-functional stakeholder management at a local level.
  • Business fluent English, German is beneficial
