For our client, a CMO company we are looking for a Cold Chain Project Coordinator.
It is a contract until 31 Decemeber 2026.
Location: Visp
Duration: until 31.12.2025
Responsibilities:
The Cold Chain Project Coordinator / Cold Chain Expert role combines strong project coordination capabilities with specialized expertise in temperature-controlled supply chain processes, cold chain solutions, and compliant logistics operations. The incumbent supports the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of Cold Chain projects and solutions, ensuring that temperature-sensitive products are handled, stored, and transported in line with quality, regulatory, and business requirements.
Acting as a key point of coordination for cross-functional project teams, the role ensures reliable execution of Cold Chain initiatives, alignment with stakeholders, and timely delivery of solutions that improve product protection, operational robustness, and supply chain performance.
This includes coordination, decision-making support, communication, documentation, and governance in accordance with project management principles and Cold Chain best practices. The role contributes to the development and implementation of fit-for-purpose Cold Chain solutions across the Supply Chain network, with responsibilities depending on current business needs.
- Maintaining comprehensive Cold Chain project documentation, implementation plans, validation-relevant records, and progress reports.
- Supporting the preparation of project proposals, business cases, timelines, and implementation schedules for Cold Chain initiatives.
- Coordinating quality and compliance controls to ensure Cold Chain deliverables meet regulatory, GMP/GDP, customer, and internal requirements.
- Monitoring and reporting project progress, risks, deviations, issues, and mitigation actions related to temperature-controlled logistics.
- Acting as a central point of contact for Cold Chain project status, solution readiness, and stakeholder communication.
- Organizing, attending, and actively contributing to stakeholder meetings, project governance forums, and cross-functional Cold Chain workshops.
- Ensuring project milestones and deadlines are met, identifying required adjustments to keep Cold Chain solutions on track.
- Analyzing risks and opportunities related to temperature excursions, packaging concepts, transport lanes, storage conditions, and operational handovers.
- Supporting the Supply Chain team in designing and implementing Cold Chain solutions on time, within cost expectations, and according to required quality standards.
- Collaborating closely with network peers, Quality, Logistics, Operations, Engineering, Procurement, external service providers, and other stakeholders to ensure robust end-to-end Cold Chain performance.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, likely in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Operations, Logistics, or a related field.
- Experience coordinating projects, timelines, deliverables, actions, risks, and stakeholders.
- Experience in supply chain in pharma, biotech or CMO industry.
