IT Business Analyst - Commercial Insurance

For our client in the insurance industry, we are looking for a skilled Business Analyst - Commercial Insurance.
This role supports a strategic transformation initiative focused on designing and building business models for a global end-to-end underwriting platform in Commercial Insurance.
You will work closely with stakeholders and cross-functional delivery teams to translate complex business needs into high-quality IT solutions.
Your Tasks:
- Analyse business objectives, processes, products, and guidelines to validate and refine business requirements aligned with strategic priorities
- Lead requirements elicitation sessions with subject matter experts and end users, documenting both as-is and to-be processes
- Translate business needs into functional solution concepts and detailed IT requirement specifications
- Contribute to solution design by evaluating alternatives and collaborating in cross-functional workshops with architects and developers
- Own assigned topics end-to-end, including scope, dependencies, timelines, quality assurance, and testing coordination
- Support testing activities as well as change management and training preparation
- Assist the stream lead with planning, backlog management, and implementation coordination
- Contribute to post-implementation activities, including documentation and production support
Your Profile:
- 5+ years of hands-on experience as a Business Analyst or Subject Matter Expert in strategic global transformation initiatives
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in IT, Business Information Systems, or a comparable field
- Proven track record working in agile delivery environments within complex, multi-vendor and multicultural project setups
- Strong experience translating complex business requirements into functional IT specifications and supporting testing and user enablement
- Solid understanding of both technology and business domains, ideally within the insurance industry (Commercial Insurance is an advantage)
- Strong analytical thinking, structured problem-solving, and organizational capability combined with a high level of ownership and proactivity
- Ability to prioritize, perform under pressure, and maintain a solution-oriented mindset in complex environments
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across business and technical team
- Fluent English, written and spoken
