Data Steward

Your Responsibilities:

Data Issue Resolution

• Investigate and resolve data anomalies, inconsistencies, and quality issues
• Identify root causes and coordinate corrective actions
• Collaborate with internal teams, data providers, and external partners
• Track data incidents through to resolution

Data Management & Governance

• Analyse business requirements and define required data assets and products
• Create and maintain interface documentation, data flows, and technical specifications
• Define data lineage and component dependencies
• Support data modelling and the onboarding of internal and external data sources
• Maintain metadata and data documentation throughout the data lifecycle

Data Quality

• Define and monitor data quality KPIs, rules, and validation mechanisms
• Ensure data accuracy, completeness, consistency, and integrity
• Develop and improve data quality processes
• Define data retention and archival concepts
• Ensure compliance with GDPR and data governance policies

Data Architecture & Integration

• Support the evolution of the enterprise data architecture
• Contribute to scalable data models, ingestion processes, and data flows
• Support secure and maintainable data integration patterns
• Collaborate with architects and engineering teams to improve data platform performance and reliability
• Support the development and lifecycle management of Data Products

Dein Profil:

• Experience in Data Governance, Data Management, Data Stewardship, Data Engineering, or a similar role
• Experience working with complex data landscapes and multiple source systems
• Strong understanding of data modelling, data architecture, and data quality
• Solid experience with SQL and relational databases
• Knowledge of modern data platforms and cloud environments such as GCP, Azure, or AWS
• Experience with data interfaces, data flows, APIs, and data ingestion
• Familiarity with data catalogues, metadata management, and data lineage
• Understanding of GDPR, data protection, retention, and archival requirements
• Experience with Data Products and Data Mesh is a plus
• Experience with data catalogue solutions and enterprise data platforms is a plus
• Experience in aviation, operations, logistics, or transportation is a plus
• Fluen in English
